Center for Council offers customized Council trainings for a variety of organizations, businesses, and communities to support team building, problem solving, and other specific objectives. We've worked with private corporations, non-profit organizations, social service agencies, health care providers, faith-based groups, and government agencies to customize and deliver dynamic Council trainings for staff, volunteers and stakeholders.
Council is unique in that it is a replicable, self-perpetuating, and portable platform that can be adapted and used in any setting to support many different objectives. And, it is something that anyone can be trained to practice and facilitate. Center for Council teaches groups to self-lead Council circles that engage multiple stakeholders. Our programs introduce and support the practice of Council, but do not require participants to follow a rote curriculum. Instead, we provide customized tools that participants can integrate to serve their own specific goals and to foster engaged, empowered, and respectful environments.
Center for Council's professional trainings have proven successful in diverse and extensive array of organizations and arenas. Integrating Council into the workplace leads to increased communication, connectedness, resiliency and mindfulness and fosters a more positive organizational culture. Program participants report that Center for Council's trainings have helped them reduce social anxiety when having to speak in group settings and improve their listening skills, leading to deeper bonds with their fellow co-workers. Invariably, participants find themselves incorporating aspects of Council practice in their work and other areas of their lives, moving forward.
