Giving and Receiving Compassion
Our end of the year appeal is to join us in providing support and resources to friends and neighbors returning from incarceration. Please consider helping us distribute Leaving Prison Behind: A Council Before I Go inside prisons throughout California -- and receive a copy of your own as a gift!
This powerful and beautiful illustrated novella compiled and edited by Jared Seide weaves the words and stories of system-impacted individuals, and those who support them. It's an outgrowth of our work inside 28 California state prisons, as well as our Council Reentry Program, and tells a moving story of one man's last night of incarceration, amassing a compendium of resources, ideas, references and practices intended to support the challenging journey home. Please consider a donation to support our Leaving Prison Behind Campaign -- or make a general donation to help us sustain the inspiring, transformational work of this organization. Your generosity is deeply appreciated!! |
