Exploring Toxic Masculinity w/ Richie Reseda
October 26th, 2019 Temescal Gateway Park Spend the morning diving into council as a group and then following that, we will open up the floor for our special guest, Richie 'Reseda' Edmond Vargas. Richard Edmond Vargas co-founded Initiate Justice with his wife, Taina Vargas-Edmond, in 2016 while serving 10 years in California state prison. While incarcerated, he founded Success Stories, a program that helps young men in prison challenge patriarchy to better achieve their goals, which was the subject of CNN’s documentary “The Feminist on Cellblock Y.” |

Neuroplasticity of Compassion
October 20, 2018 Temescal Gateway Park We hope you all will join us on Oct 20th for the next session in our Professional Development Series: Neuroplasticity of Compassion led by Dr. Ann & Jared Seide. In this session, Jared and Ann Seide review some of the current discoveries in neuroscience. With these as an underpinning, we will then explore individual and group practices that utilize our brain’s innate abilities so that we can productively engage challenging environments, retain a healthy sense of self, and kindle compassion for self and others. |

This work reflects Moshe's recent work training healthcare professionals, business teams, medical clowns, teachers, and social workers, investigating the aspects of humor that lead to beneficial human interactions. |
